What to expect

During a telehealth visit for a vaginal yeast infection, patients can expect the clinician to:

Ask about your symptoms, medical history, and any current medications.

Recommend additional testing to confirm your symptoms. But this is not always necessary.

Prescribe antifungal medication to treat the infection.

Recommend over-the-counter or self-care techniques to help manage the symptoms.

Let you know if you’re eligible to receive a same-day prescription. However, your doctor will meet with you to determine if additional testing is needed.

Offer additional guidance on how to prevent future yeast infections.
